Plot

As the last son of Krypton returns to Earth, he is met with a mixture of nostalgia and trepidation. Five years have passed since Superman's supposed death at the hands of Doomsday, and the world has moved on without him. His adoptive parents, Jonathan and Martha Kent, have grown old and frail, while his love interest, Lois Lane, has found solace in her work as a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist. Meanwhile, Lex Luthor has been busy plotting his ultimate revenge against the Man of Steel. Having escaped from prison during Superman's absence, Luthor sets out to create a new threat that will not only destroy Metropolis but also prove his intellectual superiority over his arch-nemesis. As Superman tries to reconnect with his humanity and find his place in the world once more, he is forced to confront the consequences of his prolonged absence. His friends and allies have moved on without him, and even Lois has found a new sense of purpose and fulfillment. However, when Luthor's plan comes to fruition, Superman must put aside his personal struggles and rise to the challenge. Using his incredible powers and wit, he must stop Luthor from unleashing a devastating attack that could destroy the city and all its inhabitants. Throughout the film, Superman grapples with the weight of his responsibilities as a hero and a symbol of hope. He must come to terms with his own mortality and the fact that even the most powerful being in the world is not immune to the passage of time.
